Information we collect
SHIAMAK MumbaiMumbai (SHIAMAK Mumbai) may collect personally identifiable information about you, such as your full name, phone number and email address to send you service emails related to your working or customer relationship with us. If you choose to purchase a service from us, we or our third-party payment processors will collect your payment information. SHIAMAK Mumbai will never sell your data or send you unsolicited marketing messages.

Non-Personally identifiable information: SHIAMAK Mumbai shares non-personally identifiable information (such as anonymous usage data, referring pages, number of clicks) with an analytic website which collates this information for us. We do not share this information with any other party. 
 

Data retention and storage 
We will only retain the Personal Data collected from a User for as long as our relationship remains active or otherwise for a LTD period as we need it to fulfil the purposes for which we have initially collected it, unless otherwise required by law.  We will retain and use information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.


Your information may be stored in United Kingdom, Canada or any country in which Shiamak Davar International Ltd, its affiliates or service providers maintain facilities. We will not transfer information, including personal information, to any country or jurisdiction that does not have equal or more stringent data protection laws.

SHIAMAK Mumbai maintains an appropriate level of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect personal data and other information disclosed or collected by SHIAMAK Mumbai. SHIAMAK Mumbai reviews, monitors, and evaluates its privacy practices and protection systems on a regular basis. Despite the safeguards we implement, transmissions over the Internet and/or a mobile network are not totally secure and SHIAMAK Mumbai does not guarantee the security of online transmissions. SHIAMAK Mumbai is not responsible for any errors by individuals in submitting personal data to Shiamak Davar International Ltd

Your rights and your personal data

Data Controller and Data Processor

Data at an individual level is controlled by the Creator. Shiamak Davar International Ltd Mumbai can be a data controller of data about users, only in the ways described in the section called “How we use your information”. To the extent that is the case, your data controller and processor is Shiamak Davar International Ltd.


PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS

Shiamak Davar International Ltd Mumbai (SHIAMAK Mumbai) Dance Instructors and its volunteers are committed to ensuring safe environments for children and young people and believe that it is always unacceptable for a child or young person to experience abuse of any kind. 

This policy applies to all SHIAMAK Mumbai staff, trustees, volunteers, and anyone in paid or unpaid work on behalf the organisation.

 

We recognise that:

  • SHIAMAK Mumbai believes that every child and adult at risk has the right to enjoy the arts and related activities without bullying, intimidation, or harassment, or physical, emotional or psychological harm.
  • the welfare of the child/young person is paramount
  • all children, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, sexual orientation, or identity, have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse

 

Code of behaviour and good practice:

SHIAMAK Mumbai 's code of behaviour and good practice is meant to give advice on protecting children and vulnerable adults while helping to avoid any practices which could be misinterpreted or lead to false allegations. SHIAMAK Mumbai’s staff members, trustees, trainees

volunteers, anyone in paid or unpaid work and students involved in activities on behalf of SHIAMAK Mumbai which include children and/or vulnerable adults must adhere to the following code:

 

  • SHIAMAK Mumbai staff members, trustees, trainees, volunteers, anyone in paid or unpaid work on behalf of the organisation students and visitors must treat with respect all children and vulnerable adults, respecting their rights to personal privacy.
  • SHIAMAK Mumbai staff members, Trustees, trainees, volunteers, anyone in paid or

unpaid work on behalf of the organisation, students, and visitors to SHIAMAK Mumbai should be aware that any physical contact with a child or young person may be misinterpreted. Where this is required, it should be provided openly in front of other students. It must be made clear that physical touching is required for correctional purposes only.

  • In activities, feedback should always be constructive, and the language used not threatening or upsetting.
  • Unobserved contact with a young person or vulnerable adult should be avoided, unless authorised by a parent or guardian.
  • If first aid is required, it should be administered by a trained first aider in the presence of another adult, and the Manager should be informed.

The purpose of the policy:

  • to provide protection for the children and young people who participate in our show productions, events etc
  • to provide staff and volunteers with guidance on procedures they should adopt in the event that they suspect a child or young person may be experiencing, or be at risk of harm

 

We will seek to safeguard children and young people by:

  • valuing them, listening to, and respecting them
  • recruiting staff and volunteers safely, ensuring all necessary checks are made
  • sharing information about child protection and safe working practice with children, parents, staff, and volunteers
  • sharing information about concerns with agencies who need to know, and involving parents and children appropriately
  • providing effective management for staff and volunteers through supervision, support, and training
