Information we collect
SDIUI may collect personally identifiable information about you, such as your full name, phone number and email address to send you service emails related to your working or customer relationship with us. If you choose to purchase a service from us, we or our third-party payment processors will collect your payment information. SDIUI will never sell your data or send you unsolicited marketing messages.

If you would like to receive marketing messages from us you can do this via our mailing list subscribe button at www.shiamak.us, and you can opt out of our communications at any time by emailing usa@shiamak.com.

Cookies
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide features for using SDIUI’s websites. The “help” portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, cookies allow you to take full advantage of some of SDIUI’s website features, and we recommend that you leave them turned on.

How we use your information
SDIUI uses the information that we collect to operate and maintain our services, send you marketing communications and to respond to your questions and concerns, as well as to comply with any relevant national or international laws that may apply.

How we share your information
Personally identifiable information: SDIUI will not rent or sell your personally identifiable information to others. SDIUI may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of SDIUI (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers). Any personally identifiable information you elect to make publicly available on our sites, such as posting on our social media pages, will be viewable to others. If you remove information you have made public on our sites, copies may remain viewable in cached archived pages, or if other users have copied or saved that information. Where legally required, we will also share data with government agencies. 

Non-Personally identifiable information: SDIUI shares non-personally identifiable information (such as anonymous usage data, referring pages, number of clicks) with an analytic website which collates this information for us. We do not share this information with any other party.

Data retention and storage 
We will only retain the Personal Data collected from a User for as long as our relationship remains active or otherwise for a limited period as we need it to fulfil the purposes for which we have initially collected it, unless otherwise required by law.  We will retain and use information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your information may be stored in Europe, the United States, or any country in which SDIUI, its affiliates or service providers maintain facilities. We will not transfer information, including personal information, to any country or jurisdiction that does not have equal or more stringent data protection laws. 

Data Security
SDIUI maintains an appropriate level of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect personal data and other information disclosed or collected by SDIUI. SDIUI reviews, monitors, and evaluates its privacy practices and protection systems on a regular basis. Despite the safeguards we implement, transmissions over the Internet and/or a mobile network are not totally secure and SDIUI does not guarantee the security of online transmissions. SDIUI is not responsible for any errors by individuals in submitting personal data to SDIUI.

Data Controller and Data Processor

Data at an individual level is controlled by the Creator. SDIUI can be a data controller of data about users, only in the ways described in the section called “How we use your information”. To the extent that is the case, your data controller and processor is SDIUI.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS

SDIUI Dance Instructors and its volunteers are committed to ensuring safe environments for children and young people and believe that it is always unacceptable for a child or young person to experience abuse of any kind. 

This policy applies to all SDIUI. directors, staff, officers, volunteers, and anyone in paid or unpaid work on behalf the organisation.

We recognise that:

• SDIUI believes that every child and adult at risk has the right to enjoy the arts and related activities without bullying, intimidation or harassment, or physical, emotional, or psychological harm.
• the welfare of the child/young person is paramount
• all children, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, sexual orientation, or identity, have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse

Code of behaviour and good practice:

SDIUI's code of behaviour and good practice is meant to give advice on protecting children and vulnerable adults while helping to avoid any practices which could be misinterpreted or lead to false allegations. SDIUI’s staff members, officers, trainees, volunteers, anyone in paid or unpaid work and students involved in activities on behalf of SDIUI which include children and/or vulnerable adults must adhere to the following code:

• SDIUI staff members, trustees, trainees, volunteers, anyone in paid or unpaid work on behalf of the organisation students and visitors must treat with respect all children and vulnerable adults, respecting their rights to personal privacy.
• SDIUI staff members, Trustees, trainees, volunteers, anyone in paid or unpaid work on behalf of the organisation, students, and visitors to SDIUI should be aware that any physical contact with a child or young person may be misinterpreted. Where this is required, it should be provided openly in front of other students. It must be made clear that physical touching is required for correctional purposes only.
• In activities, feedback should always be constructive, and the language used not threatening or upsetting.
• Unobserved contact with a young person or vulnerable adult should be avoided, unless authorised by a parent or guardian.
• If first aid is required, it should be administered by a trained first aider in the presence of another adult, and the Manager should be informed.

• Written parental or guardian consent should always be obtained for the use if first aid is required, it should be administered by a trained first aider in the presence of another adult, and the Manager should be informed.

• Written parental or guardian consent should always be obtained for the use of any photographs, film, or videos involving children and vulnerable adults.

The purpose of the policy:

• to provide protection for the children and young people who participate in our show productions, events etc
• to provide staff and volunteers with guidance on procedures they should adopt if they suspect a child or young person may be experiencing, or be at risk of harm

We will seek to safeguard children and young people by:

• valuing them, listening to, and respecting them
• recruiting staff and volunteers safely, ensuring all necessary checks are made
• sharing information about child protection and safe working practice with children, parents, staff, and volunteers
• sharing information about concerns with agencies who need to know, and involving parents and children appropriately
• providing effective management for staff and volunteers through supervision, support, and training
